The far off village of Makash in Kurmangazy district now has its own hero; G4S Kazakhstan employee, Bekzhan Kabulov. He saved two lives and was rewarded with a medal for distinction in prevention and liquidation of emergency situation.

Bekzhan Kabulov was on duty on 12th June 2009 and the incident happened in the Zhaik river near the Post, where Bekzhan was serving. He noticed that several girls approached the river. Several minutes after he heard shouting for help. He rushed to the riverside and saw two drowning girls. Having assessed the situation quickly and acting promptly, Bekzhan called his team leader on the radio. He then rushed to the water without taking his clothes off and helped a girl who was on the surface of the water. To help rescue the second one he had to dive in the water. Down to his courageous action two 15 years old girls, who thoughtlessly decided to swim in one of the dangerous areas of the river, were rescued. Bekzhan put all his effort to rescue human lives and acted to the situation accordingly.

Bekzhan’s heroic action was marked by senior management of the Ministry of Emergency Situations RoK in Regional Department of Emergency Situations. On the day of professional holiday of rescuers He was rewarded by a medal for Distinction in prevention and elimination of emergency situations.

Senior management and all employees of G4S Kazakhstan are proud of the bravery of their college, and congratulate Bekzat Kabulov heartily with this achievement.
